Birth Support

Mother the Mamas Birth Support

*Currently I am only accepting home birth or birth center births.

Holding space for a mama as she births her baby is something I view as an honor and privelege. Being welcomed into this sacred space and time, I bring a grounded, heart-centered support rooted in trust, presence, and deep respect for the birthing process. I believe birth is sacred, powerful, and deeply personal. My role is to walk beside you with calm, compassionate care and confidence in your body’s innate wisdom.

I am here to help hold the sacred space YOU DESIGN as you move through one of life’s most profound thresholds. Whether you are crossing the portal from maiden to mother, from mother of one to mother of two, or stepping into your next chapter in a way only you understand.

Included in birth support package:

  • At least 2-3 prenatal visits to explore your birth preferences, practice comfort techniques, and build a trusting connection.

  • On-call for your birth starting at 36 weeks

Testimonials

  • “From the first phone call I had, I knew Sylvia was *the one*! There was such an ease in talking to her- I felt like she was a friend I had always known. Her services and price point were a perfect match. I would later realize she is really full service -- body care, food, baby support, venting -- she did it all!

It was exciting to pick out meals from her menu (she taught us about bone marrow and the best frozen yogurt bark I still make to this day). My partner also really enjoyed the meetings leading up to her coming and once the baby arrived, always felt at ease when she was there. Once our baby came, I felt so taken care of by Sylvia. It was such an intimate experience (she literally scrubbed my feet while I did a sitz bath on my most tender regions) to have someone in your space during those early days and I am so grateful to Sylvia for being such an important part of our early days as parents. I would highly recommend Sylvia to anyone looking to be pampered in their postpartum days. She's simply the best!”

  • “Sylvia is not only an incredible space holder, but also a gifted postpartum doula. Her approach is rooted in deep compassion and a true understanding of the challenges new mamas face. Whether it was her nurturing advice and helpful tips, or the space she held for me to express my feelings, Sylvia was there every step of the way. Her guidance around nourishment, both physically and emotionally, truly helped me feel more confident and empowered in my journey as a mother. I am forever grateful for her support—it has been invaluable!”

  • “After a traumatic birth and very challenging and lonely early postpartum period I became acutely aware of how I had underestimated how much support I would need and overestimated how much support I would have. I became increasingly more isolated, frustrated, depressed, and anxious as the months wore on.

I needed a village. I needed to be witnessed in my mothering, in my successes. I needed to be held through my struggles and failures. I needed to be in an intentional space that was designed exactly for mothers where I could witness and be seen, where I could learn and share.

I joined Mother the Mamas post partum support circle and found exactly the restorative experience I was looking for. I felt held by other mothers who filled my cup. Sylvia has created a space where mothers in all stages of motherhood can feel safe to explore their feelings around motherhood and seek friendship and advice. It’s been such a beautiful experience and I’m really grateful it exists.”
